摘要: The European Union sees the inclusion of many Eastern states -enlargement- as a natural progression in process building an 'ever closer union'. For Commission particular, enlargement (broadening) is part integration and acts complement to development stronger role for its institutions or deepening integration. Yet first Irish referendum on Nice Treaty showed, not all European's citizens see two processes same light. This article addresses related questions. First, how are attitudes towards broadening related, do them complementary contradictory? Second, first, what factors drive popular enlargement?
