摘要: This work provides a detailed atom probe tomography study of clustering in the Al–Mg–Si system. Focus is on separating and understanding influence natural aging, preaging, alloy composition behavior solute atoms. Two dilute alloys with same total content have been studied, one Mg-rich Si-rich. The detrimental effect aging for these investigated by comparing directly preaged samples to stored at room temperature before preaging treatment. Clusters were identified datasets maximum separation method employing heuristically determined input parameters. It was found that seven days intermediate gave five times lower number density clusters as compared direct both types. comparable size but their compositions depended heat treatment history. Preaging promoted formation an Mg:Si ratio close 1 alloys, while produced ratios more similar those alloys.
