摘要: Twelve seismic reflection profile sections illustrate the variation in sea floor topography and shallow subbottom structure along length of Bowers ridge. The configuration sediments on ridge appears to be that depositional draping over irregular relief by some mechanism tended concentrate sedimentation western flank. Two Shirshov reveal thick accumulations sediment contained steep valleys between basement highs. flank ridges extend below a younger highly reflective turbidite sequence adjacent basins. ends may structurally connected at depth turbidites interplain channel separates them.
