摘要: [1] Visibility was used as a long-term indicator of atmospheric haze caused by peat fires on the land area island Sumatra, Indonesia. Visibility and anomalies sea surface temperature in Nino 3.4 region from 1973 to 2003 were analyzed. A significant linear relationship existed between visibility time, two signals shared periodic components 45 months (3.7 yr) 61 (5.1 yr), corresponding with El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) variability. decrease occurred about 3 earlier than peak ENSO, suggesting initiated during ENSO onset stage. The study demonstrated connection inter-annual climate variability, biomass burning, air quality region. could facilitate prediction change fire occurrence monitoring data.
