摘要: Abstract Magnesium (Mg) often leaches down in sandy soils due to high mobility and its foliar application proves be beneficial. Organic biostimulants also prove helpful affect plant physio-biochemistry antioxidative defense system. The present study evaluated the beneficial effects of seed soaking maize grain extract (MGE; 3%) integration with or without Mg (1 mM) comparison control (no treatment) on growth, yield performance, oil fatty acid profile including physiological biochemical basis Hysun-336 sunflower hybrid grown a soil under greenhouse conditions. integrative treatment (seed MGE + foliar spray Mg) elevated growth traits, water status membrane stability index, reduced electrolyte leakage. Improved leaf contents chlorophylls, carotenoids, total soluble sugars proline, activities non-enzymatic enzymatic antioxidants were observed. In addition, enhanced uptake N, P, K endogenous levels hormones IAA, GA3 zeatin recorded treatment. Seed oleic (mono-unsaturated) linoleic (poly-unsaturated) acids increased; however, decrease other saturated, mono-unsaturated poly-unsaturated was noticed. seedling vigor traits observed progeny that harvested from summary, improved performance by may attributed contributing content, nutrient hormonal plants
