A Plea for Indigenous Economics: The West African Example

摘要: This article is concerned with the need, in underdeveloped regions such as West Africa, to pursue a subject which, for want of better term, I call "indigenous economics"or study indigenous economies. shall start by outlining general nature and discussing reasons its neglect, both during colonial period today. Although whole my discussion relates it has some relevance certain other newly developing tropical regions.
