摘要: Abstract Structural changes associated with transition from one phase to another have been examined in several lipid-water systems using time-resolved X-ray diffraction methods. Two types of mechanism can be recognized on the basis scattering originating packing hydrocarbon chains. Two-state transitions are characterized by coexistence wide-angle patterns initial and final phases throughout region. Continuous transitions, other hand, take place through a series intermediate states that believed arise deformation chain lattice as transforms into another. processes observed subgel liquid crystal continuous transformations typical gel transitions. Examples these presented do not appear conform either mechanisms described.
