摘要: Alzheimer's disease belongs to a group of pathologies called dementias, being this one the most common type. It is neurodegenerative that causes progressive and disabling impairment cognitive functions, including memory, comprehension, language, attention, reasoning judgment. Until now there no cure, although are treatments available can improve symptoms. In paper we describe disease, its classification prognosis, as well physio pathological mechanism different diagnostic techniques currently used. addition, perform an analysis therapies both pharmacological non-pharmacological, focusing on conventional drugs marketed so far, making comparison between them, those strategies or therapeutic targets researched, phases clinical trials which project perspectives towards future.
