摘要: Abstract In this paper an efficient numerical tool is proposed to investigate delamination type failure in multi-layered composite shells. the current contribution extended finite element method (XFEM), mixed-mode cohesive zone model, contact formulation, and damage criterion are incorporated into a new algorithm study interfacial initiation growth with less computational effort. A flat-shell formulation developed geometrically non-linear regime response of shells small strains moderate rotations. addition, equivalent single layer theory (ESLT) applied simulate laminates. This enhanced through XFEM topology be able model discontinuous domains bilinear track growth. study, simulation can initiated intact laminate. Thus, unlike formulations existing models, incorporating at all available interfaces not necessary. The interlaminar stresses calculated during post-processing they being used onset criterion. As soon as satisfied specific location, that corresponding locally changed behaviour. Consequently, possibility provided; hence, cost reduced.
