摘要: Background Worldwide, the literature on sexual behaviour has documented associations between gender-based relationship inequality and communication ability actual use of condoms or other contraceptives among young women. This study aimed to examine these undergraduate female students in Mekong Delta Vietnam. Methods: A cross-sectional survey 1181 third-year from two universities was conducted. Latent variable modelling logistic regression were employed hypothesised associations. Results: Among 72.4% who had ever boyfriends, 44.8% indicated that their boyfriends asked for sex, 13% penile–vaginal sex 10.3% oral sex. For those 33% did not any contraceptive method, including condoms, during first intercourse. The greater a student’s perception women subordinate men, lower her self-efficacy frequency discussing safer matters asking partner condom. Sexual associated with (P = 0.039) but only marginally condom (P = 0.092) at Conclusion: health promotion strategies should address influence gender relations women’s subsequent impact use.
