摘要: Various features of a landscape contribute to the regulating ecosystem service reducing waterborne pollutant loading downstream environments. At local scales, wetlands have been shown be effective in retaining pollutants. Here, we investigate landscape-scale contribution retention provided by multiple wetlands. We develop general analytical model which shows that and other is only significant if large fraction total transport passes through them. Next, means statistical analysis official data, quantify nutrient for sub-catchments two Swedish Water Management Districts. compare this with features: distance major lakes. The undetectable; rather, account much retention.
