摘要: Knowledge of the geometrical properties porous rocks is crucial for evaluation their hydrocarbon potential. A major problem in quantitative formation to provide a physical basis Archie's equations first published 1942, which are widely used and believed reflect this knowledge empirically. Our study, theoretical model-based approach, provides equation (Archie I) puts it up scientific discussion. We employ statistical network model theory Schopper, take sedimentation favorable diagenetic conditions restricted compaction into account. find that prominent geological feature needs be considered quantified order establish Archie I. interpretation I – measures relative terms agreement with finding, but not line mainstream view, interprets absolute terms. Evidence suggests may also overarching address within-well integration borehole–geophysical data (including resistivity data) as well across spatial scales from well-to-well beyond. Although our more consistent understanding clearly helps advance today's logs, gain evaluating these logs still satisfactory.
