Mapping and Interpretation of the Lithospheric Magnetic Field

摘要: We review some of the controversial and exciting interpretations magnetic field earth’s lithosphere occurring in four year period ending with IAGA meeting Sopron 2009. This corresponds to end Decade Geopotential Research, an international effort promote coordinate a continuous monitoring geopotential variability near-Earth environment. One products this has been World Digital Magnetic Anomaly Map, first edition which was released 2007. A second, improved, is planned for 2011. Interpretations lithospheric that bear on impacts, tectonics, resource exploration, lower crustal processes are reviewed. Future will be enhanced through better understanding create, destroy, alter minerals, via routine measurements gradient.
