摘要: Abstract The variables influencing corrosion of three metals (galvanised steel, stainless brass) usable for a manure nutrient probe were examined, identifying the best material field applications. nutrients in 18 liquid manures then estimated through voltage drop between terminals prototype probe. Response Surface Modelling gave regression functions relating each investigated response only to statistically-significant factors. After 168 h manure, it was determined that: steel most suitable very close electrodes (mass: −1.8% at 15 mm), brass can be used with any inter-electrode distance −13.0% maximum 35 mm). reliable estimates (R2 ⩾ 0.744) Ntot, Namm, Ptot, Ktot when dry matter and temperature also accounted analysis. Not considering but just electronically-detectable quantities (temperature, drop), (R2 ⩾ 0.656) above 20 °C.
