摘要: Abstract Toxocara sp. are zoonotic parasitic roundworms that cause infection and morbidity in both developed developing countries. In humans, is thought to be most common children, particularly those living poverty, usually results from consumption of soil contaminated with parasite eggs deposited by dog or cat faeces. Infection humans different clinical manifestations, some more overt like visceral ocular larva migrans others cryptic neurocognitive delay. Despite its pervasiveness, toxocariasis has become a neglected infection. We review the dynamics human-animal interface context this parasite, discuss challenges controlling transmission cite key areas research could enable improved interventions. With political will proper resource allocation, we propose effective interventions possible near term.
