摘要: The purpose of the levels evidence system is to provide a framework for critical evaluation orthopedic literature. This rating based on guidelines from Oxford Centre Evidence-Based Medicine and currently in use several surgery journals. this study was investigate resident knowledge criteria used classification clinical articles. Thirty-eight residents 5 training programs, year-in-training 3 5, determined 10 blinded articles representing all types Residents were then provided with information sheet asked re-rate each article. mean percentage correct initial 29.5% post-education 41.3%, significant improvement after education (P<.001). year-in-training-3 group had highest average both tests (46.7%) compared year-in-training-4 (34.2%) year-in-training-5 (25.4%). significantly more accurate scoring therapeutic (41.1% pre-levels evidence; 51.6% post-levels evidence) than prognostic studies (6.6% 28.9% graded level correctly fewer half papers. These findings indicate that limited suggest need area.
