摘要: Studies were undertaken to determine the reasons why published information regarding efficiency of metallic iron (Fe0) for water treatment is conflicting and even confusing. The reactivity eight Fe0 materials was characterized by Fe dissolution in a dilute solution ethylenediaminetetraacetate (Na2–EDTA; 2 mM). Both batch (4 days) column (100 experiments used. A total 30 different systems extent release EDTA. effects type (granular iron, nails steel wool) pretreatment procedure (socking acetone, EDTA, H2O, HCl NaCl 17 h) assessed. results roughly show an increased with increasing reactive sites (decreasing particle size: wool > filings nails), but there large differences between from same group. main output this work that available are hardly comparable as they achieved under very experimental conditions. conceptual framework presented future research directed towards more processed understanding.
