摘要: Abstract This study is devoted to model the elastic and sonic properties of sandstones. The main difficulty in modeling granular materials like sandstones effect grain-to-grain contacts. A new concept an equivalent porous medium (EPM), which a continuous solid matrix pore-inclusions with porosity that higher than initial medium, proposed avoid this difficulty. combination classical Hashin–Shtrikman (HS) approach EPM provides efficient simulation aggregate sandstones, comparison experimental numerical data literature. clean calibrated using laboratory data, about two times greater medium. effects clay organic contents shaly are also taken into account by introducing notion un-supporting soft-phase. Similarly case volumetric fraction soft-phase rock. stress sensitivity heuristic modified discussed at end paper. power law for dependence EPM's on effective confining pressure. proved have many practical applications interpretation seismic reservoir rocks.
