Filtering LiDAR with GRASS: overview of the method and comparisons with Terrascan

摘要: The paper presents a procedure developed to calibrate the value of parameters used in GRASS algorithms that perform LiDAR’s data filtering. These cascade commands, by Geomatic Laboratory Politecnico di Milano, were empirically calibrated for low spatial resolution LiDAR data. UCODE_2005 from USGS was software employed calibration, mainly chosen because its flexibility and adaptability every kind model; it carries out an inverse model calibration iterative way performs sensitivity analysis on parameters. In end filtering results obtained after compared one with TerraScan completely automatic procedure.
