摘要: Pyrethroids are synthetic insecticides that have a repellent action. This effect has been associated with an increase in the locomotor activity, which causes avoidance of insecticide-treated area (excito-repellency). In this work, we studied behavior and electrophysiological recordings occurrence olfactory-mediated repellency caused by pyrethroids different volatility German cockroach Blattella germanica (Linnaeus, 1767). Male cockroaches were spatially repelled when they exposed to D-allethrin vapors vapothrin dose-dependent manner. No was observed insects permethrin, non-volatile pyrethroid. To confirm role olfaction phenomenon, measured electrical activity cockroaches' antennae response these insecticides. There significant vapothrin, but no permethrin. Locomotor order discard excito-repellency. changes for any Finally, found volatile vapor phase cause spatial cockroaches, being first report phenomenon cockroaches.
