摘要: This article identifies a methodological void in operations management (OM) research as the lack of empirical theory building. It addresses two questions: What is science? and How can building be nurtured area? The rationale for this derived from classical science perspective. Further, an empirically sound model OM identified evaluated, selected theorylike statements informal “theories” embedded literature are classified into accepted classification scheme made up grand theories, middle range generalizations.
