摘要: This paper reports on the findings of a multi-site qualitative case study research project designed to document utility and perceived usefulness weather station imagery data associated with online resource GeoVisage among northeastern Ontario farmers. Interviews were conducted onsite at five participating farms (three dairy, one cash crop, public access fruit/vegetable) in 2014–2016, these conversations transcribed returned participants for member checking. Interview was then entered into Atlas.ti software purpose thematic analysis. Fifteen codes emerged from center around three overarching themes: common uses (e.g., air/soil temperature, rainfall); use Imagery data/tools acreage calculations, remotely sensed imagery); future recommendations communication, secure crop imagery, mobile access). Overall, tools freely accessible through site viewed as representing timely, positive, important addition contemporary agricultural decision-making farming.
