摘要: Abstract Current management for red brick waste is insufficient, and a new method needed. We sought to develop approach effective management. Red cement-based decorative plasters were prepared with powder (RBWP), white Portland cement, quartz sand, redispersible emulsion powder, hydroxypropyl-methyl cellulose ethers silicone hydrophobic agent. The colors, water absorptions strengths of different investigated, the mechanisms responsible their performance variations explored by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry scanning microscopy. relative economic environmental benefits also analyzed. feasibility recycling RBWP in production plaster walls was evaluated. resulting provided appropriate color adjustment, resistance not greatly affected. compressive flexural improved. However, improvement decreased as sand replacement ratio increased. tensile bond strength related content. More negatively affects plaster. Calcium hydroxide hardened paste varies This variation correlates appearance level pozzolanic reaction RBWP. Plaster has denser microstructure than control. In addition reaction, this contributes improvements such strengths. To improve efficiencies, it feasible recycle walls. These results demonstrate use waste. They provide reference strategy other developing countries that are carrying out or will carry urbanization activities.
