Pathology of carcinoma of the lung associated with asbestos exposure.

摘要: Fifty cases of carcinoma the lung in patients occupationally exposed to asbestos were compared with 50 matched control lung. The two series differed significantly only distribution tumors relation upper and lower lobes. Another statistically less striking difference was a somewhat more frequent severe pleural involvement group. Position within lobe, cell types, metastatic incidence pattern showed no significant between series. This essential similarity would appear be agreement epidemiologic experimental investigations indicating that is co-carcinogen. It weak itself, but markedly augments effect another potent carcinogen which human population probably cigarette smoke.
