摘要: textabstractIn this report the genomic characterization of human excision repair gene ERCC-1 is presented. The consists 10 exons spread over approximately 15 kb. By means a transfection assay promoter was confined to region + 170 bp upstream transcriptional start site. Classical elements like CAAT, TATA and GC-boxes are absent from region. Furthermore, transcription not UV-inducible. A possible explanation provided for previously reported alternative splicing exon VIII. Analysis cDNA clones revealed occurrence differential polyadenylation which gives transcripts 3.4 3.8 kb in addition major 1.1 mRNA. Apparent evolutionary conservation suggests role mode RNA processing function.
