摘要: Investigations of the photofragmentation patterns both light and heavy water at state-to-state level are a prerequisite for any thorough understanding chemical processing isotope heterogeneity in interstellar medium. Here we reveal dynamical features dissociation molecules following excitation to C(010) state using tunable vacuum ultraviolet source combination with high-resolution H(D)-atom Rydberg tagging time-of-flight technique. The action spectra forming H(D) atoms OH(OD) product distributions resulting from states H2O D2O show striking differences, which attributable effects an isotopologue-specific accidental resonance. Such accidental-resonance-induced mixing may contribute D/H solar system. present study provides excellent example competitive nonadiabatic decay pathways involving least five electronic states.
