摘要: SUMMARY Mortality reports were studied for 181 shipments of live sheep from Western Australia to the Middle East and Singapore in 1985 1986. Samples pelleted feed 93 analysed quality. Overall death rate 6.46 million exported period study was 2.18%. In bound East, most deaths occurred during voyage (overall 1.7%, range 0.4-4.4% per shipment), although substantial mortality recorded discharge (rate 0.4%, 0.0-1.8%). There few loading 0.07%, 0.0–0.8%). Deaths almost 10-fold lower than those sent East. Several findings suggested that ship design management may contribute mortality. Death rates invariably low on some ships often high others. nearly always higher enclosed decks open 4 vessels, point epidemics observed several shipments. Temperature relative humidity measured ship's bridge not closely related daily rate.
