摘要: DNA-binding proteins in eubacteria, such as Escherichia coli NS1 and NS2, are generally small basic molecules. In contrast, the archaebacterium Sulfolobus acidocaldarius contains three groups of which have molecular masses 7, 8, 10 kDa. first group, five (7a-7e) been identified, while second third group only two each present, denoted 8a 8b 10a 10b, respectively. this paper, we present primary structures 7a, 7b, 7e from group. All contain lysyl residues monomethylated to different extents. The modified lysines found NH2-terminal regions all 7-kDa COOH-terminal part protein 7e. sequences highly similar other. these macromolecules shown interact specifically with DNA.
