摘要: Neutral and ionic forms of sodium form narrow, well-defined layers which peak in the 90-95 km altitude region at midlatitudes. A new theory for layer is presented, found to be good agreement with existing atmospheric observations as well available laboratory measurements rate constants. The believed result naturally from a meteor ablation source over chemical sink vertical transport Na+ playing an important role shape variation. While neutral chemistry consist equilibrium between Na NaO, ion departs earlier studies considers cluster scheme. It possible that higher-order ions play formation aerosols, through attachment or ion-induced nucleation processes.
