摘要: Summary Improving women’s access to land is high on the agricultural policy agenda of both governmental and non-governmental agencies. Yet, determinants rationale gendered are not well understood. This paper argues that gender relations more than outcomes negotiations within households. It explains importance social norms, perceptions, formal informal rules shaping for male female farmers at four levels: (1) household/family, (2) community, (3) state, (4) market. The framework applied Ghana, using results from qualitative field work. Norms household family organization men’s responsibilities capabilities play a key role in allocation resources.
