摘要: To report on chronic adverse events (CAE) and quality of life (QOL) after radiochemotherapy (RCT) in patients with anal cancer (AC). Of 83 patients who had received RCT at our department between 1988 2011, 51 accepted the invitation to participate this QOL study. CAE were evaluated using Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) v. 4.0 was assessed Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Colorectal (FACT-C) questionnaire. could be 49 patients. There a tendency toward higher rate grade 3 female patients, i.e. 18 out of 37 (49 %) vs. 2 out of 12 (17 %) male (p = 0.089). The most common dyspareunia vaginal symptoms (itching, burning dryness) 35 and 22 % respectively, followed by stool incontinence 13 % all (6 out of 49). Both FACT-C information available 42 patients, allowing evaluation impact QOL. median total score was 110 (40–132) out possible maximum of 136. absence (115 vs. 94, p = 0.001); an interval ≥ 67 months end treatment (111 vs. 107, p = 0.010), no (111 vs. 74, p = 0.009), education (114 vs. 107, p = 0.013) (116 vs. 93, p = 0.012) significantly associated score. majority AC treated have acceptable overall scores, which are comparable those normal population. Patients CAE—particularly fecal incontinence—have poorer compared without CAE. In order improve long-term QOL, future strategies might aim reduction dose genitalia more intensive patient support measures.
