摘要: Selective inhibition requires discrimination between auditory signals and is assessed using a modification of the stop-signal task. was in group 59 clinic-referred, DSM-IV-diagnosed children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) compared to that community sample children. Methylphenidate (MPH) effects on selective were subset ADHD participated an acute, randomized, placebo-controlled, crossover trial 3 fixed doses MPH. Children performed more poorly than controls majority task parameters: they exhibited anticipatory (invalid) responses, less accurate variable responses response execution task, as well slower process. MPH improved speed both processes; it also reduced variability decreased nonselective inhibition. On one hand, findings are consistent purported deficit ADHD, but other suggest neither impairment itself, nor effects, restricted
