摘要: The amount of venom injected by the spider Cupiennius salei depended on efficiency mechanical defence prey species. Spiders were milked for first (i.e. microlitre emitted) versus remaining venom, and regenerated from emptied glands. HPLC gel filtration IEF electrophoresis showed that protein content was only half as compared to this due a dilution all proteins. Venom regeneration came in two speeds. more rapidly than concentration. Newly older characterized lower concentration proteins higher total free amino acids, whereas histamine taurine did not follow trend. K+ pH remained similar during regeneration. Crickets with venoms less acute symptoms when lower, namely newly venom. Consequently, which modulates quantity into also directly changes quality. ecological consequences are discussed. This paper discusses region gland (ampulla, extracellular intracellular parts glandular sac) is involved
