The use of quality of life measures in oral medicine: a review of the literature.

摘要: Oral Diseases (2010) 16, 419–430 Objectives:  To explore the use of patient reported quality life measures in oral medicine, to highlight importance these medicine practice and provide guidance for selection such future. Methods:  A detailed literature review was undertaken investigate medicine. The databases searched were MEDLINE (through PubMed), EMBASE, CINDHL, Web Science Citation Index Cochrane Database Systematic Reviews randomised controlled trials. Results:  initial search yielded a total 5310 citations; however, only 63 fulfilled inclusion criteria. Twenty-two articles regarding mucosal conditions, 14 related orofacial pain disorders 27 salivary gland-related conditions. Conclusions:  evaluation has broad applicability, providing information treatment-based studies population-based studies. predominance generic health specific are being used limited extent practice. scarcity reports development, validation or disease is evident.
