Intermediate mass fragments emitted in the reaction Ag+14N at 100, 160 and 250 MeV bombarding energy

摘要: Abstract The fragments produced in the reaction between a 14 N beam of various energies and natural Ag target have been studied. atomic numbers identified up to Z = 17 by means E - ΔE counter telescope. cross sections, kinetic energy distributions as well angular measured for each number. show two components: high-energy component (quasi-elastic), prevailing at angles close grazing 7, low-energy (relaxed), Coulomb repulsion energy, present all . A detailed study relaxed components seems account both them widths these on purely statistical basis. sections appear be quite large low decrease rapidly fairly constant value region 10 ≦ 17. marked even-odd alternation is observed. are strongly forward peaked > 7 peaking decreases until, 13, limiting form 1/sin θ attained. Evidence existence diffusion process along mass asymmetry coordinate discussed.
