摘要: Over the past thirty years, cultural policy efforts in United States moved from national to local level. This change created need integrate into overall urban policymaking process. Building literature about participatory democracy, this case study of Madison, Wisconsin, explores two possible scenarios how a Geographical Information System (GIS) could be utilized city process while empowering public participate. First, GIS offers map educate structure policymaking; second, organizes comparative data inform current situation their community. The paper concludes with word caution theory.
