摘要: To know whether a community can be considered healthy place and how it improved, tools are needed to measure analyze health-risk health-protective factors convey such information decision makers. Instruments as walkability audits used the health components of community’s physical environment predict potential positive negative impacts changes that environment. Tools impact assessments assess outcomes proposed projects policies provide recommendations promote aspects mitigate adverse proposals. Criteria those in LEED for Neighborhood Development certify design reaches certain standards sustainability, energy efficiency, health-promoting components.
