摘要: Diversified landscape functions have deep connection with habitat preference of elephant in several habitats including Mayurjharna Elephant Reserve (MER). The main objective the present study was to find out suitability zone or areas considering geo-spatial components landscape. For that reason, taken landuse factors, i.e. forest cover, core, fragmentation, edge, built-up area, agricultural land and road pattern, fulfil study. selected factors were separated from a classified landcover (LULC) map 2018 intersected grid framework. From these grids, information factor density maps prepared ArcGIS 10.3 version software. Each has specific different significance on preference. After that, significant level percentage-wise ranks calculated using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) basis their ecological function. Chosen categorized placed according percentage Weighted Overlay tool software for getting final outcome. analysis, it found 87.18 sq.km total area MER are very suitable habitat. Reasonably 306.74 sq.km 228.27 sq.km areas, which less elephants this reserve. 147.66 sq.km not where basic requirements insufficient. well mostly covered high-density large core
