摘要: Abstract Although the expansion of new renewable energy has been dependent on support in state policies, research literature scant focus political motivations for implementing policies to stimulate such development. The growth wind power is an illustrative case renewables expansion, as this most mature technologies. What can explain rapid development production capacity EU and China, despite their very different systems basic preconditions? Applying method most-different design combination with document studies interviewing, article demonstrates how large-scale investments have come about through a specific set backed by strong governmental similar main aims: security supply, creating future-oriented industries employment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions local pollution. These three factors together, broadly perceived, might also that drive large investment sources elsewhere. 1
