摘要: To reuse the downstream carrier for upstream transmission, a data eraser is mandatory bleaching in dense wavelength division multiplexing passive optical networks (DWDM-PONs). In this paper, self-feedback semiconductor amplifier (SOA) fiber loop operated at power saturation condition employed as data-amplitude clipper, which helps to erase pseudorandom binary sequence (PRBS) carried by channelized broadband light source. The SOA can adjust its feedback coupling ratio offset in-line amplified spontaneous emission level; hence, continuous-wave biased point of input be adjusted prior SOA. architecture efficiently clips amplitude significantly reduce extinction on from 13 1.6 dB. Afterward, data-erased reused successfully carry ON-OFF-keying PRBS 2.5 Gbit/s 200 GHz bidirectional DWDM-PON. transmission provide back-to-back receiving sensitivity -24 dBm BER 10-9. induces penalty -6 dB compared case. After 25-km long single-mode fiber, further degrades -22 with additional 2
