摘要: Background: Denture hygiene is an important factor in the prevention and treatment of denture stomatitis (DS). This study aimed to evaluate efficacy two different mouthwashes (chlorhexidine digluconate 0.12% hexetidine 0.1%) eliminating Candida albicans on dentures. Materials Methods: A total 60 wearers (20 men, 40 women; age range 40-80 years) with clinical evidence DS were randomly divided into 2 test groups 1 control group. The dentures each group treated by immersion one while those immersed distilled water. Swab samples from palatal surfaces upper collected before after cleaner use examined mycologically. Results: Reduction number colony-forming units chlorhexidine was significantly greater than that using 0.1% Conclusion: Hexetidine solution tested for first time as a product disinfection acrylic showed average results 8 night hours 4 days less effective 0.12%.
