摘要: Phenobarbital (PB) is an efficacious hepatic tumor promoter. Although the promoting activity of PB likely related to altered cell proliferation or apoptosis, induction oxidative stress environment may also be important. has been shown activate transcription factor nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB). In this study, we hypothesized that PB-induced NF-kappaB activation can decreased by dietary vitamin E in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n = 39) were fed a purified diet with varying levels (10, 50 250 mg/kg dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate) for 28 d, at which time 8 per level same 500 10 d. low diet, increased DNA binding, but it did not affect higher (50 and mg/kg). Vitamin decrease created enhancing other antioxidants; therefore, measured glutathione S-transferase, peroxidase, reductase, superoxide dismutase, catalase NAD(P)H:quinone reductase (DT-diaphorase) activities ascorbic acid concentrations. Increased alpha-tocopherol antioxidants antioxidant enzymes treatment. Thus, effect acetate on does appear mediated alterations system. These results demonstrate NF-kappaB, affects proliferation- apoptosis-related gene expression, inhibited E.
