摘要: Remote sensing imaging systems for the measurement of oceanic sea states have recently attracted renovated attention. Imaging technology is economical, non-invasive and enables a better understanding space-time dynamics ocean waves over an area rather than at selected point locations previous monitoring methods (buoys, wave gauges, etc.). We present recent progress in using stereo vision on offshore platforms. Both traditional disparity-based modern elevation-based ones are presented variational optimization framework: main idea to pose stereoscopic reconstruction problem surface setting design energy functional whose minimizer desired temporal sequence heights. The combines photometric observations as well spatial smoothness priors. Disparity estimate disparity between images intermediate step toward retrieving depth with respect cameras, whereas elevation displacements directly 3-D space. techniques used measure from real data collected platforms Black Sea (Crimean Peninsula, Ukraine) Northern Adriatic (Venice coast, Italy).
