摘要: Doing regular physical activity has positive effects on health. Several environmental factors are identified as important correlates of activity. However, there seems to be a difference between perceived and objective measures the environment. This study examines influence activity, neighbourhood walkability, socio-demographic characteristics correspondence self-reported objectively measured walking time urban destinations adults in city Ghent (Belgium). Previously collected survey data was used from 1164 respondents who reported times various closest residence. These were compared with corresponding that through geographical information systems. Physical recorded over 7-day period using accelerometers. Neighbourhood walkability assessed basis residential density, connectivity, land-use mix. We observed relatively poor agreement times. Stronger agreements noted amongst most physically active group, while low-level walkers tended overestimate time. Surprisingly, however, people residing low-walkable underestimated more frequently relative those high-walkable neighbourhoods. Researchers investigating attributes behavior should thus cautious when only data, since these priori influenced by levels factors.
