摘要: Showing empathy is crucial for social functioning and related to group membership. The aim of the current study was investigate influence experimentally generated groups on pain in a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) paradigm. Thirty healthy participants underwent minimal paradigm create two groups. While BOLD contrast measured using fMRI, subjects were instructed empathize with ingroup outgroup members, who depicted picture painful neutral situations. Behavioral measure state visual analog scale. Furthermore, self-reported trait measures obtained. Repeated-measures ANOVAs conducted fMRI behavioral data. In addition main effect pain-related areas, areas belonging cortex found. Although there no bias ratings, showed altered neural activation regions right fusiform gyrus, cerebellum, hippocampal amygdala region during pain×group interaction. Activation preceding structures, revealed by interaction group, suggests that pallidum might reflect specific regulation processes.
