摘要: The postmortem levels of the amino acid neurotransmitters GABA, glutamate, aspartate, and taurine were measured in 7 cerebral cortical regions from a group demented patients with neuropathological features both Parkinson’s disease (PD) alzheimer’s (AD) neurologically normal controls. Concentrations gamma-aminobutyric (GABA) significantly (p<0.02) reduced by 27–43% superior temporal, parahippocampal, cingulate, post-central gyri. There no significant changes taurine. GABA deficits are similar to those found AD lend support proposal that dementia PD is frequently related coincidence AD.
