摘要: PURPOSE Hypothalamic-pituitary axis is susceptible to radiotherapy, causing endocrine disorders childhood cancer survivors. We conducted a systematic review in order assess the radiation-induced toxicity that leads hormone secretion abnormalities and their severity children with brain tumors. METHODS The data were collected by relevant studies on PubMed EMBASE. Articles up December 2016 included. selected which focused patients (<18 yr old) tumors treated radiotherapy consequences for system. RESULTS Growth (GH) deficiency was most common post-irradiation abnormality among survivors, followed gonadotrophin (GT), thyroid stimulating (TSH), corticotropin (ACTH) prolactin (PRL) disorders. CONCLUSIONS age of patient, total dose, number fractions, fraction size duration treatment seem determine these disturbances.
