摘要: Purpose To review the symptoms, findings, and management options in patients referred to Cornea Service who were unsatisfied with results after laser situ keratomileusis (LASIK). Setting Service, Wills Eye Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Methods A retrospective chart was conducted of all seen for consultation between January 1, 2004, December 31, 2006, had LASIK performed elsewhere. The parameters extracted demographic data, history, postoperative best corrected uncorrected visual acuities, surgical complications, examination treatment recommendations. data also compared previously unpublished collected at from 1998 2003. Results One hundred fifty-seven eyes 109 identified. Twenty-eight percent by surgeon 54%, another eye doctor; 17% self-referred. most common chief complaints poor distance vision (63%), dry eyes (19%), redness/pain (7%), glare halos (5%). Forty-four (28%) complications or enhancements. diagnoses dry blepharitis (27.8%), irregular astigmatism (12.1%), epithelial ingrowth (9.1%). Eleven first month LASIK; 23% 10% 1 6 months 7 12 months, respectively. Medical (eg, artificial tears, steroids, other dry-eye treatment) offered 39% cases, intervention 27%, observation only 7%. Nonsurgical therapy 73% cases. Conclusions Most came a doctor than their surgeon. Poor vision, eye, redness/pain, blepharitis, astigmatism, ingrowth, diagnoses.
