摘要: Abstract Two-dimensional partial differential equations modeling a laminar flame system, freely propagating between cool parallel plates at constant pressure, were numerically integrated. Single-step Arrhenius kinetics used and radiation loss was neglected throughout the analysis. The solution yielded speed structure any distance separating plates. Quenching distance, burning velocity, quenching limit obtained. results showed that reducing fuel concentration increased Peclet number, whereas reduction of pressure had approximately no effect on number over large range pressure. Axial diffusion species investigated found to have number. Theoretical are in fair agreement with available experimental results.
