摘要: Abstract DNA fingerprinting has proven to be an extremely powerful tool for the identification of individuals and pedigrees. Here we report that Jeffreys' 33.6 33.15 multilocus probes produce complex yet informative fingerprints in tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus . With exception one anomalous fragment, presumably result mutation tandem array, each hypervariable fragment fingerprint could attributed or other parents, thereby indicating Mendelian inheritance these loci. The results studies suggest applications aquaculture genetics including assessment inbreeding rates, as genetic markers identify family groups, labelling broodstocks secure ownership property.
